Soldiers for Christ...

I always wanted to be in the military, as a young child I knew the men and women that honored our country were held at a very high esteem. With holidays, and honorable mentions on the news, it left a special place in my heart for those that dedicated themselves for our country. I was told when someone joined the military, they were signing their life on the dotted line and submitting themselves as a living sacrifice for our country, for our freedom. Today I think about that memory and realize that I became that soldier. When I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into my heart and received salvation, I joined the military of the God most high. Dedicating my life, for freedom from sin. I signed up to fight. We are fighting daily for our health, our emotions, our provision. Satan the god of this world, a liar, a thief, a deceiver sends out his thugs daily to torment us in our lives. Yet our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil. David fought Goliath, and when he faced this giant, he came at him with a sling shot and one stone, and spoke,” You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord.” David spoke boldly knowing with God on his side nothing was impossible. Not even thinking how huge this giant was standing at around eight feet tall, him being a mere five feet tall and fifteen years old. Let’s learn from David and move forward in our daily lives by letting our minds be renewed and reading the word daily, worshipping and giving God the honor and glory for each day, and every time he’s delivered us from the hand of the enemy. God is strong, and he wants us to be strong. Take up your weapons and fight against the spiritual warfare that is going on daily. Stand up to everything the enemy throws your way. This is no weekend war that we will walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against satan and all his thugs. Get suited up with the full armor of God, command your thoughts to come under the obedience of Jesus Christ. Do not accept defeat! Fight! If you get knocked down, stand up and face what’s before you and speak,” you come at me with sickness, but I come at you in the name of the Lord, you come at my emotions, but I come at you in the name of the Lord.” Fight! Pick up the bible and speak his promises. He gave his son Jesus, who came and healed the sick, commanded the blind to see, the mute to speak, and the dead to wake up. All with a purpose of ultimately sacrificing his life, for you. He became sin so that we could have life, and life more abundantly. Don’t accept sickness, poverty, or depression for these things are from Satan. These are not from God. Jesus bore our sicknesses and infirmities at the cross, and the word says that we shall lack not. Our God is no respecter of persons, accept your healing, accept your provision, accept a sound mind, in Jesus name. For today is the day the Lord has made, and we will rejoice and be glad in it!

Praise God for his goodness! He is a good God, whose mercy endures forever!
