To think that when we sin, whether it be lawbreaking or a lie, God says when we repent it's forgotten. (Unless you sin against the Holy Spirit, Matthew 12:31 says,” And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.”) Yeah, forgotten, as if it never happened. It absolutely baffles me to think that he gives us a clean slate. A redo, start over, and try again. God is merciful, also jealous and if you continue living in sin after repenting, he's going to nudge you, and give you chances to get back on track. Yet if you refuse, he takes his protection away and you are no longer under the shadow of his wing. Romans 6:23 says: “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Scary to think, you’re on your own with no protection, no one to look out for you. (Read Psalm 91 see how he protects you) You may think, oh I've always been on my own, I don't need God. However, your wrong. You've had a parent, grandparents, siblings, pastors, or a friend praying on your behalf. Trust me, you don't want the enemy coming at you full force. Think about the times where disaster struck but you came through, where you almost lost your life, but God’s mercy and grace were with you.
I know beyond a shadow of a doubt, we’ve all been there. Everyone has a story. What's yours? I'd like to hear from you. Tell me, how God's mercy and grace has brought you to this point in your life. Let your story encourage others, you’ll be surprised how it could change or even save someone’s life.
Take the time to give your life to Jesus, don’t let another minute pass you by without knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt you’re going to heaven. You may have never given your life to Jesus, or maybe backslidden, or just want to make sure because the enemy has put doubt in your mind about salvation. This is it; you have a tugging at your heart right now, that’s the Holy Spirit ready to make a 360 degree turn around in your life, ready to come into your heart and make you whole. If this is you, say these words aloud:
Lord Jesus come into my heart, forgive me of my sins, wash me, cleanse me, let me never be the same again.
I believe in my heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, and today I am saved, and free of all bondage that has kept me from God's will in my life.
From this day forth I will never be the same again, I declare and decree today I have been set free. I renounce and uproot every demonic word that I have spoken and given the devil legal rights to over my life.
Be broken, in Jesus name.
Give him thanks. For today, your name has been written in the Lamb's book of life. All your sins have been forgiven.
Praise God for he is good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon him!
